Speaker connection Q
Use speakers with an impedance of 4 ohms or more, O
as lower impedance speakers can damage the unit.
Do not make a mistake when connecting the right and O
left speakers. The right speaker is the one on the right
side when you face the unit.
Insert the speaker plug fully with the lever side facing O
to the left.
Hold the speaker plug when removing it from the unit. O
Pulling the wire may cause malfunction to the unit.
Do not allow any objects to fall into or to be placed in O
the bass refl ex ducts.
Do not stand or sit on the speakers. You may be O
injured.
Volume control Q
The sound level at a given volume setting depends on
speaker effi ciency, location and various other factors. It is
advisable to avoid exposure to high volume levels, which
occurs while turning the unit on with the volume control
setting up high, or while continually listening at high
volumes. Excessive sound pressure from earphones and
headphones can cause hearing loss.

Battery installation Q
Use 2 “AAA” size batteries (UM/SUM-4, R3, HP-16 or
similar). Batteries are not included.
Plastic fi lm covering can be removed or peeled off.
Open the battery cover.

Insert the batteries according to the direction indicated 2
in the battery compartment.
When inserting or removing the batteries, push them
toward the
battery terminals.
Close the battery cover.3
Caution:
Replace all old batteries with new ones at the same time. O
Do not mix old and new batteries. O
Remove the batteries if the unit will not be used for a long O
period of time. This will prevent potential damage due to
battery leakage.
Do not use rechargeable batteries (nickel-cadmium battery, O
etc.).
Installing the batteries incorrectly may cause the unit to O
malfunction.
Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be O
exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fi re or the like.
