Using the Bluetooth Settings Menu
The Bluetooth Settings menu allows you to set up many of the
characteristics of your device’s Bluetooth service, including:

Turning Bluetooth on and off and enabling or disabling Bluetooth
services
ⅷ
Selecting your Bluetooth user profile
ⅷ
Entering or changing the name your device uses for Bluetooth
communication
ⅷ
Setting your device’s accessibility (or “discoverability”) for other
Bluetooth devices
ⅷ
Configuring security, sharing, and connection settings.
To access the Bluetooth Settings menu:
1. Press Menu (left softkey ) to access the main menu.
2. Select Settings ().
3. Scroll to Bluetooth and press .
4. Press the navigation key up or down and select My Bluetooth
Name
, Visibility or My Bluetooth Address.
5. Press .
Bluetooth Settings: My Bluetooth Name
The My Bluetooth Name of the Bluetooth Settings menu allows you to
select a Bluetooth name for your device.
Device Identification
To change a Bluetooth name for your device:
1. Press Menu (left softkey ) to access the main menu.
2. Select Settings ().
3. Scroll to Bluetooth and press .
4. Scroll to My Bluetooth Name and press .
5. Press to clear the existing name.
6. Use the numeric keypad to enter a new custom name.
7. Press to Saveand exit.
The name you enter will appear to other in-range Bluetooth devices,
depending on your Visibility settings.
