How to Troubleshoot Connection Problems continued
Symptom: Unit does not wakeup from COD mode or Dialback does not
work
Possible Causes:
1. This is usually caused by an error in the REM Phone Number setting in
the Dial numbers menu on the remote module. Confirm the phone
number is accurate.
Note: If the Switch Cards are connected to analog lines behind the
DEFINITY ECS (instead of PSTN lines), preface the phone number with the
correct access code to access outside lines (“9” is often used to access
outside lines). Also, take into consideration whether a “1” or the area code
is needed.
2. This problem could also be related to intermittent connection errors. See
table on page 6-18 for more information on troubleshooting these sorts
of problems.
