Call waiting — When this network service is set on, the network will notify you
of a new incoming voice call while you have an active call. You will hear a
sound and see the caller’s name or phone number, and the text WAITING on
the display.
Other settings
Voice mailbox number — Set a new or change the phone number of your voice
mailbox. You can call your voice mailbox by pressing Voice mailbox in the
Telephone main view.
Individual ringing tones — You can set the individual ringing tones function on
or off. See ”To make contact cards” on page 51.
Flight profile
The flight profile prevents you from accidentally turning on your phone in an
aircraft.
To set on the flight profile
1 Press Settings in the Telephone main view.
2 Choose Profiles and press Change.
3 Scroll to Profile in use, press Change and select Flight.
4 Press OK.
With the flight profile active, you may read previously downloaded mail, write
mail, notes, short messages, faxes, or update your calendar. Once you have left
the aircraft, you can turn off the flight profile by pressing Exit profile, turn on
the phone by pressing , and your short messages, faxes and mail will be
sent automatically.
When the communicator is in the flight profile, emergency calls must be made
from the phone:
1 Press . The phone display will read FLIGHT PROFILE ACTIVE.
2 While the FLIGHT PROFILE ACTIVE text is visible (for approximately five
seconds) you can dial the emergency number, e.g. 112.
3 Press .
Note: Your network operator may be
able to update your voice mailbox
number via a special SMS message.
