2. Click Status. The following items appear:
TLS
Transport Layer Security (TLS) provides additional authentication
and security when you browse web pages using the BlackBerry
Browser. It is an optional security feature that you can load onto
your handheld using the Application Loader tool. Refer to the
Desktop Software:
Application Loader Help
for more information on
loading applications.
Set TLS options
1. Open the options application. The Options screen appears.
2. Click TLS.
3. In the TLS Default field, press the Space key until the preferred
option appears:
To add TLS to the connection from your BlackBerry
Enterprise Server to a web server, select Proxy.
Field Description
Signal displays the strength of the network signal, in decibel milliwatts
(dBm)
Battery displays the approximate level of battery power
File Free displays the amount of available memory, in bytes, for storing data
such as messages, phone call logs, and contacts
File Total displays the amount of memory, in bytes, that the handheld is using
PIN displays the personal identification number (PIN) for your handheld
IMEI displays the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number
for your handheld
Prerequisite: To use TLS your handheld must be enabled for Mobile Data
Service on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
