Message status icons
These icons indicate the status of SMS messages.
Before you begin
You can send and receive SMS messages of up to 160 characters to
SMS-compatible numbers. An SMS-compatible number is a phone number
(Work, Home, Mobile, or Pager) that has SMS capabilities.
You can locate your handheld’s SMS-compatible phone number on the Subscriber
Identity Module (SIM) card screen. Refer to "SIM Card" on page 258 for more
information.If a phone number does not appear on this screen, contact your
service provider or network operator.
Icon Description
message is being sent
message is pending (will be sent later)
message was sent to the network
SMS message was delivered to the recipient’s handheld; this icon
appears only when you have set the Delivery Reports field on the SMS
screen to Yes.
