Using the keyboard and trackwheel
Your handheld’s keyboard provides access to the alphabetic characters. The
keyboard also features ten special keys:
SYM (symbol) to access a symbols library,
BACKSPACE, ENTER, SPACE, two SHIFT keys, ALT, ESC (escape), a phone key, and a power
key. You can generate numbers, punctuation marks, and special characters by
pressing
ALT in combination with the alphabetic keys. The trackwheel helps you
navigate, view, and select items on each screen. To scroll through menu items or
text, roll the trackwheel or press the
BACK or FORWARD keys while holding ALT. To
select applications and menu options, click (press down on) the trackwheel.
The following table describes special keyboard and trackwheel combinations that
can help you navigate applications, type text, and configure options on your
handheld.
