Section 3: Call Functions
This section describes how to make or answer a call. It also
includes the features and functionality associated with making or
answering a call.
Making a Call
In Idle mode, enter the area code and phone number, and press
the key.
Note:
When you activate the Auto Redial option in the Voice Call menu, the
phone will automatically redial up to 10 times when the person does
not answer the call or is already on the phone. (For more information,
refer to “Voice Call” on page 77.)
Making an International Call
1. Press . The + character appears.
2. Enter the country code, area code, and phone number,
then press .
Correcting an Entered Number
Use the following steps to correct a mis-typed entry when
dialing.
1. After entering a number
To clear the last digit displayed, press .
To clear another digit in the number, press the
Left
or
Right
Navigation key until the cursor is immediately to the right of the digit
to be cleared. Press .
To enter a missing digit press the
Left
or
Right
Navigation key
until the cursor is in position and enter the digit.
To clear the whole display, press and hold .
2. Press to return to the Idle screen.
Ending a Call
When you want to finish your call, briefly press key. If the
slide is open, simply close the phone.
Redialing the Last Number
All incoming, outgoing and missed calls are listed in the Recent
Calls Menu. If the number or caller is listed in your Address
Book, the associated name displays.
Tip:
A quick press of the to quickly acces your Recent Calls.
To access the Recent Calls menu:
1. From the Idle Screen, press the Options soft key, then
select Recent Calls.
