5 Hello, The smaller battery you see in the middle of the screen in between your signal and your normal battery is an indicator that your "reserved battery" is low or about to expire. Q) What is a reserved battery? A) A reserved battery is used to keep time inside the phone when a normally battery is not present. Even if you have never taken the normal battery out the reserve battery will decay over time and powerless. Once it is on the verge of dying the indicator appears on your phone. WARNING: Replacing the reserve battery violates the warranty on MOST phone. This is because you expose the circuit board to the outside world.
