I have trouble with ph downloading pic's . bought...

I have trouble with ph downloading pic's . bought the cord and mirco scan disk card . ph keeps coming up with card not ready when going to my memory. placed card in adapter to format. still comes up with same bs. any idea's on getting this to work? thanks .
