Text Messages
You can read and write short text messages of up to 160 characters
in length.
Before you can send any messages, you need to store the number of
your message centre in the memory. It will remain unchanged until
replaced. You will obtain the number from your service provider
upon subscription to the Short Message Service (SMS). See the sec-
tion Message Settings.
Make sure before sending a text message that the receiving phone
is provided with SMS capability.
The capacity of the SIM card to store text messages may vary de-
pending on the SIM card.
Read Messages
1 When you have received an SMS message, the text ...Mes-
sages(s)
Received and the indicator are displayed.
Press (
Read).
2 Use or to reach the desired message and press
(
Read).
3 While reading a message, use or to browse through the
message. Press (
Options) for available options. Press
quickly to exit the message.
4 Press and hold for a second to exit the menu.
Writing and Sending a Message
1 Press (Menu).
2 Use or to reach the menu function Messages and press
(
Select).
3 Use or to reach Write messages and press (Se-
lect).
