2C: Setting Your Phone’s Security 33
On Power-Up
This option allows you to have a password designated after the phone is
turned On. Before the phone can be used, a password must be entered. To
set up:
1. From the Security menu, press for Lock Phone.
2. Using the navigation key, select On Power Up and press .
Changing the Lock Code
To change your lock code:
1. From the Security menu, press for Change Lock.
2. Enter your new lock code and press .
3. Re-enter your new lock code and press .
Special Numbers
Special numbers allow you to enter up to three numbers that can be
dialed in addition to 911 when your handset is locked. This allows you to
restrict full access of the phone. To set up special numbers:
1. From the Security menu, press for Special #.
2. Press , , or .
3. Enter the number using the keypad and press to Save.
Note: There are no Speed Dial options associated with special numbers.
Calling in Lock Mode
You can place calls to 911 and to your special numbers when in
lock mode.
To place an outgoing call in lock mode:
To call an emergency number, special number or PCS Customer
Solutions, enter the phone number and press .
To place normal outgoing calls, press to display the lock code
screen. Enter your lock code. Enter the desired phone number and
press .
