Text message options
The phone supports different types of messages. Your
service provider may convert text message into a format
(fax, for example) that suits the equipment that is going
to receive the message.
To set a default message type
From standby select Menu } Message } Settings
} Text message } Text message type and select
an option.
To get delivery status of a sent message
From standby select Menu } Message } Settings
} Delivery report and select an option.
When set to On the phone will notify you when a message
has been successfully delivered.
Area information
Area information is a type of text message (for example,
a local traffic report) that is sent to all subscribers within
a certain network area.
To turn area information on or off
From standby select Menu } Message } Settings
} Text message } Area information.
Subscriptions – add name and number for the Area
information that the phone should subscribe to.
Reception – set reception to On or Off.
Language – select the language that you want the
information to be presented in.
Cell info – information about what network cell the
phone is in contact with. Shown when the phone
is
in Standby mode. Set to On or Off.
