Thewarninglightforthebrakescanshowtwo
things—thattheparkingbrakeisnotfully
released,orthatthebrakefluidlevelislowinthe
mastercylinderreservoir.Ifthefluidlevelislow,
thebrakesystemshouldbecheckedbyyourdealer
oraqualifiedservicetechnician.
Thislightcomesonwhentheparkingbrakeisset,
orifitisnotset,itcomesonbrieflywhenyou
turntheignitiontotheSTARTposition.Itnormally
goesoffshortlyaftertheenginestartsandthe
gearshifterismovedintoagear.Ifthelightstays
ontheAuto-Releasesystemmayhavefailedto
performasuccessfulrelease,trythemanualparking
brakereleaseleverandhavethebrakesystem
servicedbyyourdealeroraqualifiedservice
technician.
Lowbrakefluidlevelwillturnthelighton.
Excessivebrakeliningwearorasystemleakwill
causelowbrakefluidlevels.
