The temperature scale should be calibrated
at least every 3 months or whenever the
readings are in doubt.
Immerse the bottom
60 mm (2.4") of the probe
in a beaker containing wa-
ter.
Switch the knob to the
"°C" position and agitate
the water for at least 10
minutes to reach the ther-
mal equilibrium between the
probe and water.
Using a
ChecktempC
or
another thermometer with
a resolution of 0.1°C,
check the temperature
of the water (e.g. 20.0°C).
Adjust the "°C" trimmer until the display
shows the noted temperature.
Note: It is important to ensure the thermal
equilibrium between probe and water,
because 1 degree of temperature
difference entails an error of ±3% in
dissolved oxygen measurement.
