Setting Up the HDP-66
Setting the Time
1. Depending on your location and whether or not Daylight Saving Time (DST) is in effect, set the DST Switch located on
the back of the unit to +1 (adds an hour) or to -1 (subtracts an hour).
2. Press and hold the Time Set Button until the time flashes on the display. Press the min. and/or hour Button as needed
to adjust to the correct time. Hold the hour or min button to advance the hour or minutes faster.
3. Remember to set the correct AM or PM time. The PM Indicator is located on the upper right side of the display (there
is no AM indicator).
4. During time setting, press the Alarm Set Button to switch between 12 Hour and 24 Hour clock display format.
5. Press the Time Set Button again (or if no button is pressed within 10 seconds) to exit the time setting mode.
Using the Alarm
Setting the Alarm
1. Press and hold the Alarm Set Button until the display changes to show the alarm time flashing. Press the min. and/or
hour Button to set the desired alarm time. Remember to set the correct AM or PM time.
2. Press the Alarm Set Button to confirm alarm time (or if no button is pressed within 10 seconds) and exit the Alarm
setting mode. The alarm icon will appear, indicating the alarm is armed
3. Set the Wake to switch located on the back of the unit to iPod to wake to your iPhone or iPod, or to SFX to wake to
Harley Davidson motorcycle SFX. When wake source is set to iPod, if no docked iPod or iPhone is detected, the HDP-66
will automatically change to wake to motorcycle SFX.
Arming and Disarming Alarm (Turn Alarm Function On and Off)
1. Once the alarm is armed, an alarm icon will appear to show the alarm is armed. If no icon appears, the alarm is not on.
2. To arm/disarm the alarm, just press the Alarm Set Button once to toggle it on or off.
Resetting the Alarm to Come on the Next Day
1. When the alarm is sounding, press the Power Off/ Alarm Reset Button to stop the alarm and reset it to come on the
following day at the same time.
Snooze Operation
1. Press the Snooze/Dimmer Button after the alarm sounds. The alarm will be silenced for about 9 minutes, then sound
again. Snooze can be pressed several times during the 1 hour alarm cycle.
Sure Alarm
The HDP-66 has a sure alarm feature. If backup batteries are installed, the buzzer alarm will still sound in the event of power
failure.
