Engaging/Disengaging Motor Release Lever
ƽ WARNING
DO NOT engage or disengage the motor release lever until the On/Off switch on
the joystick is in the Off position.
CAUTION
Ensure both motor release levers are fully engaged before driving the wheelchair

NOTE:Themotorlockdisengagement/engagementallowsfreewheelingorjoystickcontrolled
operation.Freewheelingallowsanattendanttomaneuverthewheelchairwithoutpower.
1. Locatethemotorreleasehandlesonthemotorsprotrudingthroughtheshroudsby
therearsprings.
2. Performoneofthefollowing:
•Todisengagethemotorreleaselevers‐Slidethemotorlocklevertowardsthe
outsideofthewheelchair(freewheelposition)(Detail“A”).
NOTE:Thisallowsthewheelchairtofreewheelforpushingifnecessary
•Toengagethemotorreleaselevers ‐Slidethemotorlockhandlestowardsthe
centerofthewheelchair(driveposition)(Detail“A”).
NOTE:Thisallowsthemotorstodrivethewheels.
