• The camera is currently in live view or a movie is being recorded.
• Off selected for Custom Setting a7 (Built-in AF-assist illuminator) (_ 210).
• Illuminator has turned offautomatically. Illuminator may become hot with continued use;
wait for lamp to cool down.
Beepdoesnotsound:
• Off is selected for Custom Setting dl (Beep; _ 215) > Volume.
• Camera is in quiet shutter-release mode (_ 77) or movie is being recorded (_ 57).
• Focus-mode selector is set to M (_ 99) or AF-Cis selected for autofocus mode (_ 91).
• Release is selected for Custom Setting a2 (AF-S priority selection; _ 208).
