B Notes About the Smile Timer
• Digital zoom cannot be used.
• Under some shooting conditions, the camera may be unable to detect faces or detect smiles.

C Auto Off in Smile Timer Mode
When using smile timer, auto off (A19) will turn the camera off if no operations are performed in
the following situations:
• The camera does not detect any faces.
• The camera detected a face, but cannot detect a smile.
C When the Self-timer Lamp Flashes
When using smile timer, the self-timer lamp flashes when the camera detects a face, and flashes
quickly immediately after the shutter is released.
C Releasing the Shutter Manually
he shutter can also be released by pressing the shutter-release button. If no faces are detected, the
camera focuses on the subject at the center of the frame.
