Press the Exit button on the center control panel (see the illustration on page 59). PARK ASSIST
DEACTIVATED, ENTER TO ACTIVATE will be shown in the display in the center console.
Reactivating park assist
Press the Enter button in the center control panel to reactivate the system. The text PARK ASSIST
ACTIVATED, EXIT TO DEACTIVATE will be shown in the display in the center console.
NOTE: Towing a trailer, carrying bicycles in a rear-mounted carrier, etc, could trigger the rear park
assist system's sensors.
WARNING!
This system is designed to be a supplementary aid when parking the vehicle. It is not, however,
intended to replace the driver's attention and judgement.
Cleaning the sensors
For the system to function properly, the sensors in the rear bumpers should be kept clean. They can be
cleaned with car washing detergent and a sponge.
Faults in the system
If a fault should occur in the system, the Information symbol will light up and remain on and PARK
ASSIST SERVICE REQUIRED will be displayed.
