SURFACE UNIT CONTROLS
Control
knobs must be
pushed in before turning them
to a setting. They con be set
anywhere between HI and OFF.
One of the signal lights will
glow when a surface unit is on.
Be sure all lights are off when
you are not cooking.
Turn to setting.
Until you get used to the settings, use the tol
lowing as a guide

Use
HI to start
Use MED-HI
to
foods cooking or
hold a rapid boil
to bring liquids to
or to fry chicken

to
keep food
cooking after
starting it on a
higher setting.

food warm until

Set the heat

amounts of
vegetables.
SURFACE UNITS
Element will
be black dur-

cooking
if contact with
bottom of pan is
good.

not turn
red if good con-
tact is made.
