The CRW-70 drive does not turn on.

● Are the AC adapter and the power cable connected correctly?
Make sure that the CRW-70 drive is correctly connected to the AC
outlet, using the AC adapter and power cable provided. (→P. 19)

● Does the power LED of the CRW-70 drive light up orange if the
power switch is turned on? (→

If the power LED doesn’t light up, consult your nearest Yamaha dealer
(listed at the back of this manual).
The computer does not start up.

● Is the USB interface card installed correctly?
Refer to the documentation that came with your USB interface card.

● Is the CRW-70 drive correctly connected to the computer using the
USB cable?
Turn off the computer and the CRW-70 drive and make sure that the
USB cable is connected securely to both the computer and the drive.

● For Windows 98 Second Edition, have you installed the device driver
provided?
Windows 98 Second Edition does not recognize the CRW-70 drive
unless the device driver provided is installed. Install the device driver
following the instructions of the separate manual, “Device Driver
Installation Guide,” that came with your drive.
