Protecting a zip archive with a
password
Zip Manager uses the industry standard Zip 2.0 encryption
format.
If you use the extract files function on a password
protected zip archive, you will automatically be prompted
for the password.
When protecting zip archives with a password, it is
important that you specify the password after opening or
creating a zip archive and before adding any files to it.
To protect a zip archive with a password, do the following:
1 Create or open a zip archive.
2 Press Menu, and select Tools→ Set password..., and
specify a password.
3 Add files to the zip archive.
Note: Every time you attempt to open a
password protected zip archive, you are
prompted for its password. Choose passwords
that are easy for you to remember but difficult
for others to guess. If you forget the
password for a zip archive, you cannot open
or extract the information stored in that
archive again.
