Finding a Phone Number
You can search Contacts entries for phone numbers that contain a specific
string of numbers.
To find a phone number:
1. While in standby mode, enter three or more of the last digits of the
phone number. (The more numbers you enter, the more specific the
search becomes.)
2. Select Options () > Find. (All Contacts entries matching the
entered numbers are then displayed.)
3. To display the Contacts entry that contains the phone number you
entered, highlight the entry and press .
4. To dial the number, press .
Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers With Pauses
You can dial or save phone numbers with pauses for use with automated
systems, such as voicemail or credit card billing.
There are two types of pauses available on your
phone:
Hard Pause sends the next set of
numbers in your Contacts entry only after
you press . This is indicated with a
P
within the number sequence.
2sec Pause automatically sends the next
set of numbers after two seconds. This is
indicated with a
T within the number
sequence.
Tip:
Creating a saved series of numbers with pauses is very useful when
entering data into an automated system.
For example, if accessing your bank information requires dialing a toll-
free number, followed by an account number and then your PIN, you
could place a two-second pause after each group of numbers to ensure
that they would be read correctly.
