Getting Started
Turning On Your Phone
1. Press and hold the
On/Off button until
you hear the
welcome tone.
2. Select
Phone on or
Flight mode (where
mobile phone use is
prohibited).
3. If the
Enter PIN dialog appears, enter the
PIN code provided with your SIM card.
The first time you use your phone, a Setup
wizard will help you enter its basic settings.
Making a Call
Using the keyboard, enter the phone number,
then press
OK or select Call. You can also
make calls from Contacts .
Navigation
To navigate menus and select items, use the
Jog Dial and the Back button or tap the screen
with your fingertips or the stylus.
Jog Dial
Rotate the Jog Dial
to scroll up and
down lists, adjust
the sound volume,
or move through a
multimedia
message. Press the
Jog Dial to select a
highlighted item.
Back Button
The Back button is located on the left side
of the phone, next to the Jog Dial. You can use
it, for example, to return to the previous menu
or toggle between two menus. Pressing and
holding the Back button locks the keyboard.
Stylus
Use the stylus to operate the touch-sensitive
screen.
Keyboard
Your phone has a full
alphanumeric
keyboard, with dual
function keys. Most
of the keys have two
characters located on
Up
Inwards
Down
Back
button
