88 Section 2D: Controlling Your Roaming Experience
Using Data Guard
Depending on service availability and roaming agreements,
your phone may be able to access data services while roaming
on certain digital systems. You can setyour phone to alert you
when you are roaming off the Sprint National Network and try
to use data services such as messaging.
To setthe Data Guard notification:
1. Press >Settings > Roaming > Data Guard.
2. Select an option and press .

Always Ask to enable your phone’s Data Guard
feature.You will see a promptand will be required to
respond anytime you access data services while
roaming.

Never Ask todisable your phone’s Data Guard
feature.You will not be notified of your roaming
status when accessing data services.
To use data services when Data Guard is active:

When a pop-up notification appears informing you that
data roam charges may apply, press
Roam(leftsoftkey)
to connect.
Note:
Data Guard is turned off by default on your phone.
Note:
If the Call Guard feature is set to On,you need to take extra
steps to make and receive roaming calls.
