Replacing SmartKey batteries
1 Mechanical key
2 Unlocking the battery compartment
3 Removing the battery compartment
4 Slide
̈ Insert mechanical key 1 in side
opening, push gray slide 4 in direction
of arrow 2.
The battery compartment is unlatched.
̈ Pull battery compartment 2 out of the
housing in direction of arrow 3.
5 Battery
6 Contact spring
̈ Remove the discharged batteries.
̈ Using a lint-free cloth, insert new
batteries 5 under the contact
spring 6 with the plus (+) side facing
up.
̈ Return battery compartment into hous-
ing until it locks into place.
̈ Slide mechanical key 1 back into the
SmartKey.
̈ Check the operation of the SmartKey.
