Antenna
Your device has an internal antenna
located toward the top of the phone.
Hold the phone as you would any other
telephone with the antenna area
pointed up and over your shoulder.
Note: As with any other radio
transmitting device, do not
touch the antenna
unnecessarily when the device
is switched on. Contact with
the antenna affects call
quality and may cause the
device to operate at a higher
power level than otherwise
needed. Avoiding contact with
the antenna area when
operating the phone optimises
the antenna performance and
the battery life. Not touching
the antenna area during a
phone call optimises the
antennae performance and
the talktime of your device.
UIM (SIM) card and
battery
Always switch the device off and
disconnect the charger before
removing the battery. Always use
original Nokia batteries. See “Batteries
and chargers”, p. 68.
Note: Your phone has a UIM
(CDMA SIM) card slot built
into the mechanics. However,
the UIM is not functional in
this phone model. Avoid
placing anything into the UIM
card slot.
Insert the battery
Make sure the device is turned off and
it is disconnected from the charger.
Slide the back cover off to
remove it (1).
