Security settings
To access this menu: Press Menu in standby mode, and select Settings and
Security settings.
When security features that restrict calls are in use (such as call barring, closed user group
and fixed dialing) calls still may be possible to the official emergency number programmed
into your device.
Select
• PIN code request to set the phone to ask for your PIN code every time the
phone is switched on. Some SIM cards do not allow this setting to be changed.
• Call barring service to restrict the calls that can be made or received with the
phone (network service).
• Fixed dialling to restrict calls and text messages from your phone to selected
phone numbers, if allowed by your SIM card (network service).
When the fixed dialling option is on, GPRS connections can only be used for
sending text messages. The recipient’s phone number and the message centre
number have to be included on the fixed dialling list.
• Closed user group to specify a group of people whom you can call and who can
call you (network service). When you use a closed user group, the group
number is shown in standby mode.
• Security level to define when the phone asks for the security code.
If you select Phone, the phone asks for the security code when a new SIM card
is inserted into the phone.
