Calling Emergency Numbers
Note: Official emergency numbers vary by location. Check before you
need to use this feature to make sure the number is the proper one for
your location.
To call an emergency number:
Press . (Your call will be connected even
if your phone is locked or your account is restricted.)
Note: This phone, like any wireless phone, operates using radio signals,
wireless and landline networks, as well as user-programmed functions.
Because of this, connections in all conditions cannot be guaranteed.
Therefore you should never rely solely upon any wireless phone for
essential communications (e.g., medical emergencies). Emergency calls
may not be possible on all wireless phone networks or when certain
network services and/or phone features are in use. Emergency numbers
vary by location. When making an emergency call, remember to give all
the necessary information as accurately as possible. Remember that your
wireless phone may be the only means of communication at the scene of
an accident. Do not end the call until given permission to do so.
Answering Calls
Depending on your settings, your PCS Phone notifies you of
incoming calls in the following ways:
The phone rings and/or vibrates.
The backlight illuminates.
The screen displays an incoming call message.
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
If the phone number is in your Contacts list, the contact’s
name is displayed.
To answer incoming calls:
1. Make sure you turn on your phone. (If your phone is off,
incoming calls go to voicemail.)
