Message center in use —defines which message center is used for delivering
text messages and special message types such as business cards
Character encoding > Full support—to select all characters in the message
to be sent as viewed. If you select Reduced support, characters with accents
and other marks may be converted to other characters.
Receive report (network service)—When set to Yes, the status of the sent
message (Pending, Failed, Delivered) is shown in Reports.
Message validity—If the recipient of a message cannot be reached within
the validity period, the message is removed from the message service center.
Note that the network must support this feature.
Message sent as—to define how the message is sent. Default is Text.
Preferred connection—You can send text messages using the normal GSM
network or, if supported by the network, packet data.
Reply via same center (network service)—If you select Yes, and the recipient
replies to your message, the return message is sent using the same message
service center number. Some networks do not provide this option.
Multimedia messaging settings
Select Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Multimedia message and
from the following options:
Image size—Define the size of the image in a multimedia message. If you
select Original, the image is not scaled.
MMS creation mode—If you select Guided, the phone informs you if you try
to send a message that may not be supported by the recipient. To set the
phone to prevent you from sending messages that are not supported, select
Restricted. If you select Free, message creation is not restricted, but the
recipient may not be able to view your message.
