Saving multiple numbers and text items per name
You can save a maximum of five phone numbers and three brief text items for
each name in the phone’s internal phone book. Text items saved for each name
can be, for example, street and e-mail addresses, a note and a web address.
The first number saved is automatically set as the default number, and is indicated
by . When you select a name from the phone book, for example, to make a call,
the default number is used unless you select another number.
1. Make sure that the memory in use is either Phone or Phone and SIM, since
multiple numbers and text items can only be saved in the phone’s memory. See
Selecting the phone book settings on page 45.
2. To access the list of names and phone numbers, press or in standby
mode.
3. Scroll to the name saved in the phone’s internal phone book to which you want
to add a new number or text item and press Details. (If the name is not saved
on the phone, the phone will ask you if you want to save it there.)
4. Press Options and select Add number or Add detail.
5. Select one of the following number or text types:
General is the default type used when no other number type is set as the
default number. Other number types are Mobile, Home, Office and
Fax.
Text types are E-mail, Postal addr., Note and Web address:.
To change the number or text type, select Change type in the options list.
6. Key in the number or text item and press OK to save it.
7. Press Back and then Exit to return to standby mode.
