Log off service
Exit the IM application
From the contacts list, you can exit the IM application, but still be connected to
the IM service. Select Exit to return to the main menu. If you open IM again, you
do not need to log in again.
You can receive instant messages from your contacts when using your phone for
other purposes, such as playing a game. If you are connected to your IM service, but
you have not used your IM application for some time, you may be automatically
disconnected from the IM service. The next time you open the IM application, you
must log in again.
Log out of IM
To disconnect from the IM service, you must log out. From the contacts list, select
Options > Sign off, Disconnect, or Sign out, depending on your IM service provider,
and select OK.
The login screen of the IM service provider appears, which allows you to return to
the IM service provider selection list, exit the IM application, or select an IM
service and log in again.
E-mail application
E-mail provides access to certain common e-mail services. If you have an e-mail
account, with one of the supported e-mail services, you can use this application to
access your e-mail account. With this application you can view your inbox;
receive notification of new e-mail; and compose, send, receive, and delete e-mail.
This e-mail application is different from the SMS and MMS e-mail function.
If you do not have an e-mail account, visit the website of one of the e-mail service
providers and register for an e-mail account. If you have questions regarding the
cost of e-mail services, contact your wireless network operator.
Start E-mail
1. Select Menu > IM & E-mail > E-mail.
2. Highlight and select the provider with which you have an e-mail account.
3. Read and accept the terms of use, if you are presented with any.
4. Enter your user ID and password. Note that the password is case sensitive.
