Writing text by using traditional
text input
Press a number key ( to ) repeatedly until the desired
character or number appears.
The most common punctuation marks and special characters are
available under the number key .
Note: All characters available under a number key are NOT
printed on the key. The characters available under a number
key depend on the language selected in the menu 4-3-1.
To change the character case, press once. Upper case is
indicated by ABC and lower case by abc.
To add numbers, press and hold to enter the number input
indicated by 123. After keying in the desired numbers, press and
hold to return to the text input.
You can also add a number by pressing and holding the
respective number key until the number appears on the display.
To insert a space, press .
To insert a punctuation mark or a special character, press to
enter the list of special characters. Roll with Navi Roller to the
desired character and press Navi Roller to select the highlighted
character.
Tip: When entering names in the phone book, the phone uses
title case, which automatically writes the first character of a
name in upper case and the rest of the word in lower case.
Tip: When writing a text message or other text, the phone
uses the text case, which automatically writes the first
character of a sentence in upper case.
