Cut address
: extract URLs, e-mail addresses, or
phone numbers from the message.
•
Transfer
: move the message between the SIM
card and the phone’s memory.
•
Protection
: protect the message from being
deleted.
Changing SMS settings
1. From the
Short messages
menu, select
Settings
.
2. Select a setting profile to be customised. The last
setting profile accessed will be activated for
sending subsequent messages.
3. Change the following settings:
•
Reply path
: allow the recipient to reply to you
through your message centre.
•
Delivery report
: set the network to inform
you when your message has been delivered.
•
Character support
: select a character
encoding type. If you select
Auto
, the phone
switches the encoding type from GSM-alphabet
to Unicode if you enter a unicode character. Use
of Unicode encoding will reduce the maximum
number in a message to about half.
•
Validity period
: set the length of time your
messages are stored in the message centre
while the network attempts to deliver them.
•
Message type
: set the default message type.
•
Service centre
: store or change the number
of your message centre.
Setting up the Blocked number list
Use the Blocked number list to reject SMS messages
from specific phone numbers.
1. From the
Short messages
menu, select
Block
number
.
2. Enter the phone number you want to block.
Press [Down] and add up to ten phone numbers.
3. Press <
Options
> and select
Save
.

vary depending on your service provider.
