The setup application helps you set up various
options and applications, including setting up your
Google™ Account.*
Complete the Setup Application
After activation and any required updates, your
phone should power off and then back on again.
After the restart, you’ll see a Welcome screen. You
can then complete the Setup steps.
1. When you see the Welcome screen, select a
language and touch Start to begin.
2. Read the message About your privacy. If you agree,
touch Accept
and continue. Touch Privacy Settings
to control information shared with Motorola.
• Got Google? Create or sign in to your Google
Account. You will have the opportunity to join
Google+.
• Backup and restore - Use your Google account
to back up your apps, settings (such as
bookmarks and Wi-Fi passwords), and other data.
If you previously backed up your account, you
can restore it to this phone now.
3. You’re all set!
• Migrate your stuff to transfer media, call & text
history and more from another Android device
wirelessly.

• Go to the homescreen to start using your phone.
Note: You do not need to sign up for a Google
Account to use your phone; however, to access
music, movies, books, Android™ apps and much
more on Google Play™, you must link your phone
to a Google Account.
