Camshaft
Camshaft Removal
Remove:
Camshaft Chain Tensioners (see Camshaft Chain Ten-
sioner Removal)
Rocker Cases (see Rocker Case Removal)
Camshafts [A]
Support the chain using a suitable tool.
Camshaft Installation
Using a wrench on the alternator bolt, turn the crankshaft
clockwise until “T-R” mark [A] is aligned with the notch
[B] in the inspection window.
The rear camshaft [A] has a groove [B].
First, install the rear camshaft.
Face the arrow [A] of the rear camshaft sprocket upward
(left side view).
Engage the rear camshaft chain with the rear camshaft
sprocket.
Align the m arks [B] on the weights with the rear cylinder
head upper surface.
Using a wrench on the alternator bolt, turn the crankshaft
clockwise 270°.
Align the “T-F” mark [A] with the notch [B] in the inspection
window.
