The ink jet printing system prints characters and graphics by firing ink drops at the paper
from thin nozzles.
Heating the ink in these nozzles, by
applying electrical pulses to the
heating elements, produces bubbles
that quickly expand and eject the jnk.
A vacuum is then produced as the
bubble contracts after the pulse ends.
This draws fresh ink into the nozzle.
