Using T9 Mode
T9 predictive text input mode
allows you to enter words easily
using a minimum number of
keystrokes. As you touch each
key, the phone starts displaying
the characters it predicts you
are typing, based on a built-in
dictionary. As new letters are
added, the word changes to reflect
the most likely word candidate in
the dictionary.

When you are in T9 predictive
text input mode, begin entering
a word by pressing the touch-
screen keys
to .
Press once for each letter.
• The word changes as letters
are typed—ignore what
displays on the screen until the
complete word appears.
• If the word is still incorrect after
completely typing it, press
in the pop-up menu to view
the options. Then select the
word you want by touching it.
• If the word is not in the list,
add it by pressing and then
selecting to enter
the new word. Then press
to save the word in
the built-in dictionary.
