Message settings
Select Menu > Messages > Message
settings and one of the following:
Templates—View or edit a preset
message templates.
Smileys—Use preset smileys, such as :-)
in messages. You can create and edit
smileys but may only delete the
smileys you created.
Callback number—Include a callback
number to your messages.
Signature—Add a signature file to your
messages. Select signature text to
create or edit your signature. Select
Include signature > On or Off to set
automatic signature insertion on or
off.
Delivery reports—Request the network
to send delivery reports for your sent
messages (network service). Select Yes
or No.
No. screening—View the screened
numbers list, or add a number to the
list. See “Contacts list options”, p. 16.
Voice mailbox
Voice mailbox is a network feature.
When you receive a voice message,
your device displays a notification and
may beep or vibrate. If you receive
more than one message, your device
shows the number of messages
received.
Save voice mailbox number
1. In standby mode, select Menu >
Messages > Voice mailbox >
Voice mailbox number.
2. If the box is empty, enter the voice
mailbox area code and number,
and select OK.
Listen to your voice messages
Dial your voice mailbox number using
one of these methods: dial the number
using the keypad, press and hold 1,
or select Listen if there is a notification
message in the display.
In standby mode, select Menu >
Messages > Voice mailbox > Listen to
voice messages.
When you connect and the
prerecorded greeting begins,
follow the automated instructions to
listen to your voice messages.
Clear voice mail icon
You can clear the voice mail
notification from the display.
Select Menu > Messages >
Voice mailbox > Clear voice mail icon
to clear the voice mail icon in standby
mode and set the number of voice mail
messages to 0.
