Define multimedia message settings
1 Select Menu > Messages > Message settings > Multimedia msgs., then
select one of the following:
Save sent messages—Save sent multimedia messages to the Sent items folder.
Delivery reports—Request the network to send delivery reports on your
messages.
Allow multimedia reception—Choose Yes, No, or In home network for your
multimedia service. In home network cannot receive multimedia messages
outside the home network. Yes is usually the default setting.
Incoming multimedia messages—Select Retrieve to receive multimedia
messages or Reject if you do not want to receive multimedia messages.
Connection settings—Define connection parameters for multimedia data
transfer.
Allow advertisements—Enable or disable reception of automatic multimedia
advertisements. This setting is not shown if Allow multimedia reception is set
to No.
2 Follow the prompts to change the selected setting.
Edit multimedia connection settings
1 Contact your service provider for the settings.
2 Select Menu > Messages > Message settings > Multimedia msgs. >
Connection settings > Edit active multimedia settings, then select each of
the following in turn and enter the settings provided by the service provider.
Settings’ name—Rename the setting to your preference.
Homepage—Enter the homepage where your browser retrieves multimedia
messages and select OK.
Session mode—Select either session mode Temporary or Permanent.
Data bearer—Select the data bearer (always GPRS).
Bearer settings—Set each of the following settings for the data bearer:
GPRS access point—Enter the access point name and select OK.
IP address—Enter or change the IP address and select OK.
Authentication type—Select either Normal or Secure.
User name—Edit or enter your user name and select OK.
Password—Edit or enter a password and select OK.
