4. Text and multimedia messages
You can read, write and send text, picture and multimedia messages and e-mail,
or save your messages. All the messages in your phone’s message memory are
organised in folders.
Before you can send any text or picture messages, you need to save your message
centre number, see Text message settings on page 67.
Note: Your phone must be switched on to use these functions. Do not switch the
phone on when wireless phone use is prohibited or when it may cause
interference or danger.
Writing and sending text messages
Your phone is able to send and receive multi-part messages comprised of several
ordinary text messages (network service). Invoicing is based on the number of
ordinary messages needed for a multi-part message.
The number of available characters and the current part number of a multi-part
message are shown on the top right of the display.
1. Press Menu, and select Messages, Text messages and Create message.
2. Key in a message. See Writing text on page 57.
