PIN Menu
PIN is an acronym for Personal Identity Number.
The PIN number accompanies your SIM card,
which is provided by Verizon Wireless.
The PIN code protects the SIM card and phone from
unauthorized access. You’re prompted to enter the PIN code
for access to GSM specific features such as Call Barring and
Call Diverting. The PIN code can be 4-8 digits in length. After
three successive incorrect entries the PIN code is blocked
and you’ll be asked to enter the PIN2 code.

With PIN Check enabled, your phone requests entry of the
PIN1 code upon power-up. The PIN1 code is assigned to
your SIM card by Verizon Wireless.
1. In standby mode, press the left soft key ( ) Menu,
then press (
Settings), (Security). You’re
prompted to enter the Lock Code. The default Lock Code
is the last four digits of your telephone number.
2. Enter the Lock Code. Several Security sub menus
appear in the display.
3. Press (PIN Menu). The PIN Menu opens with
PIN Check highlighted.
4. Press . Enable and Disable appear in the display.
5. Use the navigation key to highlight Enable or Disable,
then press . You’re prompted to enter the PIN1 code.
6. Enter the PIN1 code, then press . A confirmation
message appears in the display.
