Any-key Answer
Depending on the setting of the Any-key Answer
option, you can answer an incoming call by pressing
any key, except and the Reject soft key.
To reject the call, press or the Reject soft key.
The following options are available.
ON: you can press any key, except and R e j e c t.
OFF: you can only press or the Accept soft key.
Backlight
You can select whether or not the phone uses the
backlight. A marginal increase in standby/talk time
can be achieved by turning the backlight off. The
following options are available.
Short: the backlight comes on when you press a key
or receive a call and switches off 10seconds after
the last key is pressed.
Long: the backlight comes on when you press a key
or receive a call and switches off 20seconds after
the last key is pressed.
OFF: the backlight is not used.

Own Number
N o t e: The contents of this menu may vary,
depending on the SIM card.
You can enter your own name and number using this
menu. If you have subscribed to the Alternate Line
Service, you can select a line with or .
The following options are available:
Add: allows you to add name and number.
Edit: allows you to edit name and number.
Erase: allows you to erase name and number.
Language
You can select the text language. When the
language option is set to Automatic, the language
is automatically selected according to the language
of the SIM card used.
You can also set the default text input mode. For
details on the text input modes available, refer to
page 35.
