Changing the Text Greeting
The text greeting can be up to 12 characters and is displayed on your
phone’s screen in standby mode. You may choose to display a
custom greeting or display your User Name on the phone’s screen.
To display or change your custom greeting:
1. Press the left softkey for Menu.
2. Press for Settings.
3. Press for Display.
4. Press for Greeting.
5. Select Custom using the navigation key and press .
6. Press and hold to clear the existing greeting.
7. Use the keypad to enter a new custom greeting. (See
"Entering Text" on page 23.)
8. Press the left softkey to Save and exit.
Tip
: To access the phone’s main menu, press the left softkey
from standby mode. Menu items may be selected by highlighting
them with the navigation key and pressing , or you can press the
number corresponding to the menu item on your keypad.
Changing the Backlight Time Length
The backlight setting lets you select how long the display screen and
keypad are backlit after any key press is made.
