To perform a calculation:
1. Access the Tools menu.
2. Select 9:Calculator.
3.
Enter the first number using the numeric keys.
4. Set the operator for your calculation by pressing the
navigation key in the indicated directions: + (right), - (up), x
(left), ÷ (down).
5. Enter the second number.
6. To calculate the result, press <OK>.
7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 as many times as required.
Each time you change the operator without pressing <OK> ,
the previous calculation is performed and the result is
displayed as the top number in the display.
World Time
You may want to call a friend in another part of the world but
wondered what time of the day it is there. To know what time it
is, use this menu option.
To see the time in another country or city:
1. Access the Tools menu.
2. Select 7:World Time.
3. Scroll to the desired country or city. You see the current time
of the selected country or city on the bottom line.
Selecting DST Setting allows you to choose DST On/Off.
Countdown
Countdown allows you to find out how much time will elapse
between the time entered and an event scheduled.
Creating a New Countdown Timer
1.
Access the Tools menu.
2. Select 10:Countdown.
3. If there is no countdown timer you have specified, the
information dialog box opens and the display prompts you
to create a new timer.
If there are countdown timers already specified, you will see
the list. Select
Add New.
4. Enter the title of the timer and press <OK>. For more
information for Text and Symbol Entry, refer to "Entering
Characters". The default entry mode is T9
(English) mode.
5. Enter the date and time which you want to count from.
. Press the navigation key down or up to select an item to set.
. Select (AM) or (PM).
. Countdowns can be entered for dates between the years 1980
and 2099.
6. Press <OK>to save.
Editing an Existing Countdown Timer
1.
Access the Tools menu.
2. Select 10:Countdown.
3. Scroll to an existing timer, and press <OK>.
4. Press and select Edit from the menu list. You can edit
the title, and the date and time of the timer.
