DSP Microphone Equalizer

REQUIRES OPTIONAL DSP-2 UNIT

In the SSB, AM, and FM transmission modes, you may use the DSP system to change the
frequency response of the audio stage, if you have installed the optional DSP-2 Digital
Signal Processing Unit. This will allow you to roll off excessive high- and/or low-frequency
components of your voice’s audio characteristics.
To set up the DSP Microphone Equalizer feature:
1. Press and hold in the
[
DSP
]
key for one second. This instantly activates Menu Mode No-

[
DSP MIC EQ
]
.
2. Rotate the DIAL to select one of the following equalization choices:
OFF: Microphone Equalization Off
LPF: High Cut (lower frequencies are emphasized)
HPF: Low Cut (higher frequencies are emphasized)
BOTH:High/Low Cut (mid-range frequencies are emphasized)
3. When you have made your selection, press and hold in the
[
FUNC
]
key for one second
to save the new setting and exit to normal operation.
