Location allows you to choose whether you want to search for the
document or file from the communicators memory, from the memory card, or
both memories.
Search text in you can search for text which appears in the Document name,
Document content, Document name or content, or Document name and
content. The most restricting search criterion is the last, Document name and
content. If you choose this criteria, the text you are searching for must appear
in both the documents name and in its content.
Partial word allows you to search for partial words. Options are: Yes/No. For
example, if you search for the word communicator and you have selected Yes,
writing communic will find the word communicator as well as the word
communication.
Case sensitive If it is important to your search whether the word has been
written with upper or lower case lettering, select Yes for this option. This way
you can make your search case sensitive and Find application will search for
the exact match to what you have written.
To search for a document
After you have defined the settings, scroll to the bottom of the screen with
the arrow keys. After the last settings the cursor is moved to the search field.
1 Write the text you want to search for and press Search.
2 Find application begins the search.
Note: When you open the Find
application for the first time, you can see
the default settings. You can always
return to these settings by pressing Clear
in the settings view.
Note: All options are not available for all the
different data types. For example, you cannot
choose the Location where you want to
search for Calendar events, because they can
be stored only in the communicators
memory.
