Important
The data on the memory card does not have password protection. When the
system is locked, the memory card data can not be accessed until the lock code
of the communicator is entered (see the User’s manual). If the card is removed
from your communicator and used in another device, the data can be read by
any user. As with computer floppy disks, take care of sensitive information.
Keep all memory cards out of small children’s reach.
Formatting the card will erase all data. To avoid losing data or damaging your
memory card:
1 Do not remove the battery from the communicator in the middle of a
memory card operation (see the User’s manual for more information).
2 Be sure to close all memory card applications before removing the battery.
3 Do not bend the card.
4 Do not use or store the product in high temperatures, direct sunlight or
high humidity. Avoid conditions that will cause condensation on the card.
5 Keep the card away from corrosive materials.
6 Avoid touching the electrical contact area of the card.
7 Do not insert the memory card to another device such as a digital camera
as this may cause loss of data.
When not in use, return the card to the carrying case. Keep the card out of
direct sunlight.
When the battery is empty, the communicator will shut down. Before this
happens a low battery warning is given on the communicator display. If the
shutdown happens during a data transfer operation, the system will attempt
to close all files. If a file is in the process of being transferred, then the
complete file may not be transferred in full. It is recommended for correct
memory card operation that you charge a low battery before use.
