USING TOUCH-TONE SERVICES
To use your cellular phone to control answering ma-
chines and special telephone services (such as
bank-by-phone or voicemail), simply press the ap-
propriate numbers using your phone’s keypad after
the service answers.
Or, you can store the service’s command sequence
in a speed-dial memory (see “Storing a Number and
Name in Memory” on Page 68), then follow these
steps after the service answers.
1. Recall the memory that contains the command
sequence.
2. Press . The phone sends the commands
as touch tones.
Adding a Pause
Some services, such as voice mail, require that you
enter an access code and then pause before enter-
ing additional digits. To include a pause in a se-
quence when storing it in memory, press
. The phone displays

. When you send
the sequence, the phone pauses for 2

seconds
where you entered a pause. If you need a longer
pause, enter multiple pauses, one after the other.
